June 17, 1789 The third estate formed the National Assembly. They then swore to the Tennis Court saying they will no leave until France had a new government.
2. Storming of the Bastille
June 14, 1789 Angry revolutionaries storm the Bastille. Done that they made a statement against the monarchy and the mob also obtained weapons and gunpowder that were kept in the prison. The fall of the bastille frightened the king.
3. Civil Constitution of the Clergy
July 12, 1790 This was published allowing the French government to control the church. Due to badly needed money , the government states to sell church land.
4. Execution of the king
January 21, 1793 After being put on trial for being convicted of having foreign powers. He was sentenced to death. Executed by the guillotine.
5. Reign of Terror
September 1793- July 1, 1794 Thousands of people were sentenced to death by execution that was causes by conflict between two political parties. The Jacobins and the Girondins. The leader of the Jacobins, Maximilien arises as the new leader of revolution.
